Uncle James!

Noel and April were really excited to visit Nanna today and see Uncle James. He is Aprils God-father and he came down from York for a few days. Sadly it was just a flying visit but we are looking forward to going to stay with James and Hannah in May.

5-4-3-2-1 Blast off!!

Stu took the day off on Friday and we went to the Space Centre in Leicester as a belated birthday treat for Noel. We had a brilliant time and the children both loved it - especially playing in this rocket. Noel is space mad at the moment so he was in his element.

The Postman always knocks twice...

We have had 2 fabulous packages arrive this week.
One came yesterday for Noelie, a birthday present from Uncle Phil and Auntie Becca. Most exciting to receive a parcel through the post, especially all the way from America!
The other came for me today, a gorgous set of toiletries from a darling friend in Buckinghamshire. A truly lovely surprise and very thoughtful gift.
Aren't we spoilt!

Singing in the rain!

We don't let a little bit of rain stop us having fun! We had a great time exploring the village and we said Hello to some friendly horses. April wasn't so keen, she was worried they were going to eat Noel!! But Noelie loved them and has asked to go back.

Happy Birthday Noel!!

I can't believe that my firstborn, Noel Christopher Robert is 5 today. Where have the last 5 years gone? It doesn't seem 5 minutes since I birthed him right here at the Wills family home and now 5 years have passed.

We have been to Snibston Discovery Park today - at Noels request - and had lots of fun. Stu is taking a day off soon and we have another adventure planned but its a secret so I'll have to share that after the event ...

Hungry Hippos!

I've been really struggling to find something to decorate Noels cake with, he is 5 tomorrow and I wanted to personalise it a little bit for him, other than it just being a chocolate cake with 5 candles on. I looked all over for Leicester for something to put on it, but I really struggled. Then I had the idea of making a "hungry hippos" cake. Hungry Hippos is one of Noels favourite games so I am hoping this will go down well. I wanted to put a number "5" in the middle but it wasn't quite big enough so I have had to make do with 5 candles instead.

Thank goodness he's not at the stage where he asks for a Scooby Doo/Ben 10/Transformers cake....

Some of the things we have been up to today ....

First of all we joined in with Mummy when she did her exercises...

Then we made some musical instruments all by ourselves. We loved singing and dancing with them. Here is Noel with his "guitar".

Then we helped mummy to bake some cakes (including Noels birthday cake ready for tomorrow!) We made some cup cakes for "jam" club and Noel and April decorated them.
