Just for Becks

Proof that my children don't smile 24/7 ;-)

Father Christmas has been - bringing with him a scooter, a pram and a push along car for 3 very lucky children...

This is Christmas morning - and while the children were playing Stu took the opportunity to look at the sales! I'm not quite sure which website he was looking at during this point - but we now have a new settee and armchair on order ...!

How many times can we say that we actually had snow on Christmas day! Not many I'm sure so I took a photo to prove it.

Hermione seemed to enjoy her very first Christmas too!

I hope you all had a wonderful time - with lots of love from us all here x x x x

Waiting for Father Christmas!

Noel and April are both suffering with a bad cough and the remains of a cold, in fact April asked to go to bed at 6.30! Before she went we took this photo of three of them on the most exciting bedtime of the year!
We have had a lovely peaceful day, the big ones did some Christmas activities this morning and I went to the Christingle service this afternoon at St John the Baptist with the girls - Noel wanted to stay at home with his Dad.

After April went to bed Noel and I prepared a snack for Father Christmas. Noel decided that Father Christmas probably gets a bit fed up of mince pies so we have left him a club biscuit by way of a change! April wanted to leave him some squash and of course - the obligatory carrot for Rudolph. Noel also left him a picture that he made this morning by way of a thank you.

From our home to yours - wishing you a very peaceful and joyous Christmastime - Love from Jemma, Stuart, Noel, April and Hermione x x x x x

Christmas in the Wills Household!

I have 2 VERY excited children, giving me a daily countdown and enjoying making up the Nativity scene piece by piece each day. April wants her turn to be on Christmas eve so that she can put Baby Jesus in his cradle.

We have put up our tree a bit earlier this year as to be honest I wasn't really feeling very festive and I thought it might help get me in the mood. We put it up on Chritmas eve last year (and as I remember I had just started with morning sickness that very day). Noel and April put up the tree for me and more or less decorated it all themselves, I just moved a few things higher up while they were in bed. Its probably not the best ever photo I've taken but it does look pretty, especially when its lit up.

After I had tucked my 3 babies into bed I went outside to take this photo. The snow looks so clean and beautiful as no-one has been outside all day, I noticed a few paw prints from Harvey though, he's braver than I am!

Because its snowed so much today we had to cancel our plans to see Mum and Mini's 4 month check was cancelled this afternoon as the SureStart centre was shut. Instead we made some mince pies and gingerbread biscuits together and I've made some shortbread this evening. Noel and April cut all the shapes out themselves and placed them on the tray. Noel loves baking and the other day he made some cakes, following the recipe himself and they were delicious! The only part I did was putting them in the oven (and tasting, ahem).

3 stockings hung up ready for Father Christmas. I have promised the children we will have the fire cleaned out and empty ready for Christmas eve!

I'm really looking forward to Stu coming home Friday and for some special family time together, I do find it quite hard sometimes being on my own all week with 3 little ones, but I'm sure once the sun starts to shine again and Mini sleeps a bit longer it will be much easier.

Keep warm and cosy everyone xxxx

Thumbs up ...

We went to church this morning to have Hermione officially welcomed and to collect her candle. I took this photo before we went - we're working on teaching Hermione to put her thumbs up :-)

New Friends

Its still so cold and snowy outside we have stayed indoors again today. We lit a log fire and for the first time ever we made toast on it!
The children have 2 new friends - meet Peter and Cinderella. They're so pleased to see you, they're waving!

I'd like to take the credit but its my mum's handywork. She is making some of these gorgeous teddies for children to take home when they visit their father in prison - so that they can bring something positive back from the experience. These two are destined to reside with us to look after Noel and April - Hermione's is work in progress.

And here is a new friend for Hermione - meet Pip.

Pip was a gift for Mini's christening but if you'd like your own you can get one from here ...

There's something so special about a handmade toy that you can't get with a shop bought one - you can put a hug and a kiss into each one!
