Going private...

I started my blog as a sort of "online scrap book" for the children and for family and friends to see what we have been up to. Although I am always careful what I post, photo wise, I do feel uncomfortable with people I don't know looking at pictures of my children, and never more so since I checked my "traffic feed" and saw some of the viewers.

As of the weekend I will be making my blog private. If you would like to view it still, and I hope you will, please email me and I will add you to my 'safe viewers' list.

It's really sad that I have had to do this, I hope you understand.

Lots of love

6 months on!

Its hard to believe that the boys are 6 months old already! Its been a real whirlwind time, the first few months were very challenging and exhausting to say the least.  Thankfully things have settled down now and its much more enjoyable and slightly less hectic (only slightly though!)

Today, the boys look like this ...

Instead of this ...

Heres to the next amazingly chaotic 6 months with our fabulous family of 7!

April's Brownie Promise

April made her promise tonight at the Brownies. I'm so proud of her as she remembered it all, word for word. She was so excited before she went, and she came home full of excitement. Mum went to watch her, which was lovely for them both, especially as its mum who walks her there and back every week.

A very excited April before she went.

Taking it all in

Now a fully fledged Brownie - well done April xxxxxxxx

Valentines Day

How lucky am I? These gorgeous roses arrived yesterday from my lovely hubby ...

Today its sunny and quite mild so we went out for a walk first thing this morning and then we came home and the girls played with the playmobil.

Sam and Isaac are now having two tiny meals a day (if you can call them a meal, its more like a teaspoon!)  Noel has been busy assisting me in the kitchen with peeling and mashing.  So far they have tried apple, carrot, parsnip, baby rice and baby porridge. I also found some baby milk in the freezer that I expressed in the early days so that has gone down the hatch as well.

Noel, April and Mini enjoyed their tent picnic on Wednesday, but Noel will no longer let me take his photograph (its just not cool when you're nearly 9) so just one of the girls again...

Thats all from us for now, enjoy your weekend everyone xxxxx

Hurrah!! Its half term!!

We had such a lot of fun in the snow this afternoon while the twins were having their nap. Noel stayed inside and he was in charge of listening out for the monitor and the girls and I went outside and had some fun. We made a micro snowman and I pulled the girls up and down the garden in the sledge! It was really nice to do something fun with them and it kept me fit into the bargain too!

We seem to be over the worst of the chicken pox now. I counted up that the at least one of the children have been in for over 7 weeks with one thing or another! So its so nice to have everyone fit and well although as you can see from the rosy cheeks we are now dealing with teething. Samuel has two and Isaac has one through and one just cutting through. They don't see to bother Sam at all but Isaac is in a lot of discomfort and has needed lots of extra cuddles.

The girls had a "tea party" with wooden biscuits! I have promised them we will do some baking tomorrow and have one on Wednesday with real food. You can't beat animal shaped sandwiches and miniature cakes when you're two so that is what we will be having - with the odd piece of fruit thrown in for good luck.

I have got a new student helper starting in March, so I am looking forward to having an extra pair of hands with the babies and Mini again. We are also going to look around playschool soon as Mini is starting in September. She is very excited as she wants to be "big" like Noel and April. I just hope she is as enthusiastic when she is actually there...

Things can only get better from here!

What a month!

Phew, what a month January has been. After Hermione got conjunctivitis, the twins followed suit with a bout of it each. Then poor April had a sickness bug while school was closed with the snow. Then Isaac got chicken pox, followed by Samuel and now Hermione has got it. And to top it all off I am writing this with April lying on the settee feeling poorly after her teacher brought her home from school. There is only Noel who seems to have got off lightly! You can maybe now understand why I haven't blogged for a while...

Here's to a healthier February for us all !
