Library Love

I am lucky that my mum comes to help every wednesday. Very often she will take the boys out for me while Hermione is at play school and this gives me a chance to go and visit my Grandma or catch up on exciting things like dental appointments and car MOTs.

Mum took these photographs of Samuel and Isaac at the library a couple of weeks back, I thought I would share them with you.

Isaac's New Shoes

We took Isaac shopping on Saturday to buy his first pair of shoes. He wasn't very impressed and he wouldn't smile for his photo or walk in them at first.  When we got home we put them on him and once he got used to the sensation he was happy to walk around the house in them, pushing his trolley. I guess I should be grateful as once he learns he can run around outside in them there will be no stopping him!

April made her television debut today on Mr Bloom - Here and There. If you missed it, you will be able to catch it on I-player. It was really surreal watching it after seeing it being put together. Hermione thought it was fabulous and we had to watch it 5 times today in total.  Here they are enjoying their "picnic".

I think that's all our news for now.

Happy Birthday Noelie xx

Its true what they say - children bring with them long days and short years. My "baby" is now 10.

Yes we really were foolish enough to buy him an electric guitar and amp for his birthday. I told him if he practises enough now then by the time he is a teenager he will be able to pull all the girls!  He is starting lessons this week and he will go with Stuart, but only every other Saturday to begin with.

April helped me to make the cake and as you can see, Hermione helped me to decorate it. Here she is testing the icing to make sure it is of a suitable quality. All the children love baking and cooking - and of course licking out the bowl.  Noel asked for my patented "Hungry Hippos" cake - Stu says he will still be asking for one when he is 25 - but that's fine by me because its the only "novelty" cake I can really make.

Not satisfied with 3 in the bath, we went for 6 this week when all 3 little ones took a "baby" in to bath.  Hermione's is under a flannel as she wanted her to be warm.  She is very maternal and when she is asked what she wants to be when she grows up, she always says a Mummy.

Hermione and I went to a party a couple of weeks ago, here she is being "Hello Kitty". 2 minutes after this photo was taken she asked me to wash it all off her face, but it did look cute.

Isaac is walking more and more now. He had great fun with my sweeping brush the other day, and he also loves to walk around carrying a little bag. I think he will be needing his first pair of shoes in a few weeks.  Sam has started pushing the pram around on his knees so he may well be following on soon. Samuel is more of a talker and Isaac is more of a walker - so they compliment each other beautifully!

We went out for a family meal on Sunday for Noel's birthday to the Harvester at Donington Park services. The service was a bit dire but the food was lovely and everyone enjoyed themselves. And it was Noel's choice of venue so that was what mattered.

The twins were as good as gold, despite the fact that they had to sit in their high chairs for ages before I even got to order the food.

The sun is shining here, the windows are open and it feels a little bit Spring-like today. Its a good job really as Stuart's exhaust fell off his car last night and he will be taking mine to work this week! I love being out in the sunshine and fresh air, everyone smiles more and its such a tonic.

Enjoy the Spring weather everyone.

Lots of love
