Happy Birthday Noelie!

We say it every year don't we but where does that time go!

My first born, Noel Christopher Robert Wills is now 11. 11!! It seems so grown up, especially as he will be starting secondary school in September.

Taken at 6am in my bedroom ...

Unfortunately, he did have to spend the day at school, but then he came home to enjoy his new lego  set (unfortunately he lost most of his toys, including his precious lego in the fire) and to his chosen tea of a gammon and egg baguette and birthday cake.

One of the things I love most about Noel, is the fact he just gets on with things. He rarely makes a fuss about anything, he takes everything in his stride and is very accepting.

Because of the lack of bakeware (due to the lack of funds from the insurance company for replacements), we purchased his cake this year. A giant jaffa cake! Personally I thought it tasted vile but it went down well with the children, so that is all that matters.

It takes a lot of huffing and puffing now there are 11 candles!

Happy Birthday to my Eldest Son - you made all my dreams come true the moment you were born xx

Adjusting to life in a house!

We are now in a rented house, hoorah! Unfortunately, I don't have any photos to share with you yet as I haven't got round to taking any and the children are all tucked up in bed (and hopefully asleep).

We moved into the rental on the 17th February and work started on our house on the 18th February. It's taken nearly 3 months to start work and to find us somewhere to live. Well, you can't rush these things, can you?!

So, in lieu of any rented house photos, here are some pictures I took this morning of our house and the renovations ...

The front room....

And the other side of the front room - we need a new fire place, and cabinet.

The dining room. The window has been "written off" and we are replacing it with french doors. They can't be any wider than the window though so there won't be much glass in them!

And the other wide of the dining room

And finally ...

The only signs that there was once a fire - the black charred walls

The back door is going and we will have cupboards here

Our kitchen. Gutted and ready for plastering and refitting.

Onwards and upwards - a fresh start for us all when we go home.

Lots of love Jem, Stu, Noel, April, Hermione, Samuel and Isaac xxxxxxx
